The Referal Process

This is our step-by-step guide of the process, giving you an over view of what to expect when applying for accommodation.

We aim to complete this process quickly and effectively as possible.

1.  Referral - 

Once we have accepted your referral this is when the journey starts with Unlocked Housing C.I.C. Referrals are accepted from a range of professional and voluntary services. We also accept self-referrals.

 

Our referral forms are in depth and may ask for information that you may not think is relevant, but it is essential for us to be provided with the details to make an accurate assessment. 

2.  The Assessment -

 

After receiving your referral one of our friendly team will call to arrange a date to complete a risk and care assessment. Our preference is that this takes place in person, but this can be done over the phone. This is your opportunity to get a understanding of what Unlocked Housing could offer you and this also allows us to build a picture of you as a person and the support you may require. 

3.   Property Tour  -

If you are successful at the assessment stage, you will be invited to view the property we have available. We will also provide photos and a video tour to help you get a clear understanding of the accommodation on offer. 

We offer flexible viewing appointments to suit your schedule. 

4.   Moving in day –

Once you have accepted a space in one of our homes, you can move in and begin making it your own. Upon arrival, you will be provided with fresh bedding and a starter toiletry pack. If needed, we can also supply you with essential items to help you settle in comfortably. 

5.  Support Plan  -

Once you have moved into your new home, your dedicated support worker will work alongside you to develop an effective and personalised support plan. This plan is designed to help you live independently and reach your full potential. 

6.  Staring your journey with Unlocked Housing -

Your dedicated support worker will hold weekly one-to-one sessions with you to help you work towards your goals, offering guidance and encouragement to support your success. 

 

You will be provided with a direct contact number for your support worker, along with access to an out-of-hours phone service for any urgent matters.
